10/31/2005: "Halloween"

It's a scary night tonight. All the little witches and warlocks are out - and many teeny tiny skeletons have been seen running around the streets near me. I was good and got in a supply of sweets but so far only two little guisers have been to the door (all the more for my big guisers who stood behind me making strange *awwwwwh they're cute* sort of noises). Strange to thing they were out there themselves only a few years ago!

On a more serious note, 81 Witches of Prestonpans pardoned on this day last year are celebrated in this year's arts festival. Having been brought up in Fife, I know a thing or two about witches and we're not talking buffy or samantha. An interesting read can be found in the witches of Fife Happy Halloween!

Yep, I'm with you on that one. Those sparkly blue eyes rolls eyes When he read the Auden poem,"Funeral Blues" I was smitten. Did you know you can get an audio book of him reading ten Auden poems, including "Funeral Blues", available in the US

The actor's name is John Hannah and the show is called "Cold Blood". I've had a crush on him ever since 4 Weddings and a Funeral, plus, he had a great short term role in one of my favorite US shows, Alias.

sigh...

I was thinking of you tonight RR, I have cable tv now and one of the channels I get is the BBC America channel, and there's one show (can't remember the name) with a really cute Scottish actor...plus I just *adore* the accent. I envy that you have an entire country of them!
