12/18/2005: "Reality Check"

It's been a busy weekend, spent Friday morning shopping and then went to work lunch/night out. On Saturday did more shopping, helped SED finish her ball dress (which she decided not to wear - despite it turning out really rather spectacular), waited up late (4:30) then couldn't get back to sleep when she did get in but finally got around to making the christmas cake, then went off to do more shopping...... and then I went to visit a friend who is very ill in hospital and the whole Christmas thing took on a different meaning. I am stunned. Sometimes it takes a good punch of reality to put things in perspective. It's the people who matter.
