01/05/2006: "New Year"

Happy New Year everyone.

I am back and had a lovely Christmas and a good time up north. I hope you all did too. Sadly the friend who is very ill is being moved to a hospice today and I can't bring myself to write much or show you the wonderful photos I took over the last week or so. I will get around to it and do a resume of 2005 but so far 2006 is looking like it's going to have a tragic beginning. I'll get back to you all soon.

Thanks Holly.I did manage a visit to the hospice on Friday and spent a short time with her.Unfortunately she has been in so much pain she has said all her goodbyes to her family and requested to be sedated.They do not anticipate she will wake again.I can't put into words how I feel.
