03/15/2006: "Spreading Too Thin"

Seems like I've done it again. I spun yet another gossamer web, a diaphanous silk and cast it over my world. It touched many things for a short while but the web is breaking, the silk is tearing and the spider is falling from it's ephemeral world into a big black void.

There's a fine line between having lots of activities in your life, feeling full and happy, and being overwhelmed and spread too thin.

I would list out all of your responsibilities, the things you enjoy, the things you hate, and prioritize them and then dump anything from the column of stuff that you don't enjoy and that isn't vitally important in your life.

I go through and do this periodically to stay sane. Oh, and I've learned how to say no (most of the time anyway)

good luck and hang in there!
