Foxes and films
Sadly the fox I captured with my camera has come to an end - well I think it's the same one. It was found by my neighbour lying in their garden on Sunday. They called the RSPCA who duly came to pick it up and take it away. Unfortunately it was in such a poor state they said they were probably going to have to put it to sleep. Today I saw another fox in the garden but it looked black (!) and I can't work out if it was due to the poor visibility early in the morning or whether perhaps the foxes had been trapped in a fire or something. It disappeared before I could get a better look.
On Friday, went to see Walk the Line and was totally blown away. I wasn't looking forward to hearing Joaquin singing Johnny Cash as I really didn't think he'd do the songs justice. I was wrong. I was very wrong. I think this was the best performance I've seen in a film in a long time. I loved it and he deserves an award. If you haven't seen it and don't believe me listen to a few clips from the soundtrack. In general the film had energy and well, just go see it - even if you're not a Cash fan.
Still on a music theme, the programme about Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon on Saturday night was great. Not sure which channel it was on but it brought back so many memories and the music still sounds great. A good way to chill out after a full day of retail therapy!
I finally managed to get around to doing some art this weekend. I treated myself to a workbench (took 2h to put it together!) and some polishing heads for the drill. Then I attacked a log I'm carving and drilled holes in it - successfully. I still need to modify the design slightly but it was fun and now I have the workbench set up in the garage I can do more at home so might even manage to get the piece finished before hand-in on the 20th March. It also means I can do some jewellery there and not have to clear everything up immediately I finish
